Okay, so it was kind of accidental, but I managed not to kill it (unlike the rest of the plant)! Made pumpkin soup on Sunday night, had some in a funny vegie thing I made for tonight and are going to put some more in a pumpkin korma curry for Thursday night. Yum!

You're SO right. Mum is VERY jealous! That is no ordinary pumpkin. That is a butternut pumpkin. Can you send some over in the parcel?!!!! We really do miss pumpkin here. Just doesn't taste the same. I think it's one of my fave vege too. Gorgeous photos - thank you for posting them.
